El Caracol company
The company develops a poetic world in which it explores hybrid forms and universes. Its creative work is rooted in the exploration of the living material of bodies, space, objects and words, as well as the dreamlike worlds offered by masks and puppetry. The calligraphy of space, the poetics of illusion and the physical commitment of the body are central to the company’s poetic theatre.
Puppetry lies at the heart of the company’s work. However, theatrical performance, physical presence, sound, lighting design and the treatment of space are equally important in creating a multisensory form of storytelling.
The company develops its work along two main artistic paths: visual theatre and street arts. The company is committed to creating theatre that inhabits public squares and brings poetry to both traditional and non-traditional performance spaces. It offers an interactive form of art that meets local communities by appearing in a wide variety of places.
