Indoor performance
For adults
Non-verbal
To inhabit a place, one’s body, a part or a whole...
The piece explores the intimate experience of inhabiting the porous space between inside and outside. It observes the state of a body moving along a delicate, fragmented path, disrupted by upheaval, urgency and the demands of life.
Following encounters with women experiencing precarity, the company began exploring the idea of “home”. Inspired by these lived realities, the performance is dreamlike, visual and rooted in sensations and emotions.

Being able to present this project IN SITU in cultural wastelands seems obvious to us. Indeed, a cultural wasteland was an industrial space before becoming a cultural place. Its specificity brings another vibration to the project which emerged from the street. To create in these places is to use a scenography naturally charged with meaning, which weaves a direct link with the notion of inhabiting.
Through this setup, we create a dialogue between imagined and existing matter. We work with the natural light of the place, its imposed areas of shadow, its interstices, its vanishing lines. The grandeur of space sets the scenic tableaux in a fleeting but also unstable, evasive universe, uncertain, which interests us in terms of dramatic effect. It comes out: presences and situations that escape us, which slowly erode into the edges;abandoned places that find another use, offer hidden corners, set in motion bodies that adapt.
We play with the material of the walls imbued with life: crumbling, cracks, greenery in the gaps… Confronting reality with fiction, exploring spaces;offered by the places to make them resonate with the use of puppet, matter and masks add depth to the first metaphor. The diversion of reality and the objects present offers a new perception of the place. We create the illusion despite the mechanisms of manipulation in sight, so we confuse the viewers gaze both on the premises and through the proposed scenes.
